Every Wednesday night, Noce hosts an all night happy hour. Doors at 6, music 7-10pm, no cover all night! $5 green tea shots, $6 well drinks, $7 house wine, $8 specialty cocktails. Some of the top jazz musicians in the region are featured each week. Antonio Lopes is a devoted drummer, educator, bandleader, and producer based in northern Iowa. After relocating from California in 2019, he quickly became an active presence in the region and is now recognized as an up-and-coming force in the Iowa jazz scene. He has performed at leading venues and events—including Noce and the Iowa City Jazz Festival—and has worked with many of Iowa’s top groups and artists, such as The Max Wellman Big Band, NOLA Jazz, Napoleon Douglas, Anthony Orji, Robert Espe, Carson Parker, and BYOBrass. Audiences can expect a delightful quintet performance blending hard-hitting Blue Note tunes, members’ original compositions, and classic jazz standards from the Great American Songbook.
